CO2 Revolution has entered a new phase of growth and consolidation with the appointment of Juan Hidalgo as its chief executive officer and new general director. This transition coincides with the company surpassing one million trees planted across Spain and managing more than thirty forests since its inception.

Specialising in reforestation and carbon credit generation, the company highlights its decade-long commitment to environmental restoration projects and emission offsetting. The period has been characterised by a favourable market for voluntary carbon offsets and increasing European sustainability regulations.

Juan Hidalgo, a biologist with over ten years' experience in renewable energies and decarbonisation efforts, will lead this new phase focusing on operational expansion and business development. Under his leadership, the company aims to strengthen its market position and enhance its impact in environmental sustainability.

Since its foundation, CO2 Revolution has driven forest projects across Spain based on methodologies recognised by the Ministry for Ecological Transition. These initiatives emphasise traceability, verification, and the creation of measurable environmental impact, reinforcing confidence in their contributions to combating climate change.

Among its notable achievements, the development of the Atlantic Forest project stands out. It is recognised as one of the first Spanish projects certified under the Verra VCS international standard, regarded globally as a benchmark in the voluntary carbon market.

The firm is actively working on new projects such as Borela II in Pontevedra, which focuses on restoring 29 hectares affected by forest fires, and the Ibercaja Foundation Forest in Villarejo de Salvanes, Madrid, which concentrates on native species recovery and CO2 absorption.

CO2 Revolution believes that evolving European regulations on sustainability and corporate reporting will significantly boost demand for certified carbon offset projects particularly reforestation efforts and nature-based solutions. The company anticipates that market developments will establish reforestation as a key component in Europe's climate transition and corporate decarbonisation strategies.

This strategic trajectory indicates a strong commitment to addressing climate change through innovative forest solutions, underpinned by rigorous standards and expanding market opportunities. The company aims to maintain its leadership in environmental impact and catalyse broader adoption of sustainable practices within the corporate sector across Europe.
